Chantz

Chantz is a 6-year-old bay tobiano gypsy draft cross gelding, standing about 16.1hh and weighing around 1450 lbs, consigned to the Best of the West Horse Sale in Gladstone, NJ (Sept 25-26) with a $15,000 starting bid. He's been through a natural horsemanship program, lays down and "sets like a dog" on command, and is described as an all-around confidence builder suited to riders of any age or size. He neck reins, lopes nice circles, has a smooth jog, and stops well; he's also traffic-safe, harness-broke (single, double, or quad hitch), and has extensive trail miles through the Eastern Kentucky mountains covering creeks, logs, and steep rocky terrain. He's been exposed to gunfire, coon hunts, and livestock, and has experience penning cattle at the stockyards and working a branding pen.
