1st Edition

1st Edition is an 8-year-old (2018) palomino roan AQHA gelding standing 14.3 hands and weighing about 1,150 pounds, consigned by Longhorn Ranch of Paicines, California to the Platinum Equine online auction (bidding through October 4, 2026, with final price set by the auction). The seller describes him as a handy, well-broke ranch horse with sliding stops, lead changes, and leg-yield work, plus real trail and ranch miles: he's been used to gather and sort cattle, open gates, and check fence, and he's confident crossing water, picking through rocks and brush, and negotiating narrow trails and steep banks. He's reported gentle and easygoing with a very calm temperament (rated 1 of 10), desensitized to flags, tarps, tires, dogs, bikes, and traffic, and easy to handle for the farrier, clipping, bathing, and hauling. Photos show a strikingly marked, heavily dappled palomino roan gelding in good weight and condition, shown both standing for conformation and moving out under saddle at a trot.
