Smart Thornton (Waffles)

Waffles is an 11-year-old, 13.3hh AQHA dun stallion (Smart Thornton) out of Stephenville, Texas, bred with strong cutting/cow horse lines (Smart Royal Badger out of High Brow Piper, tracing to Smart Little Lena, Smart Peppy, High Brow Hickory and Shorty Lena). He spent four months in cutting training last year and has been hauled to cutting shows, but he's also a genuine all-rounder: used around the ranch, worked cattle, roped off of, carried a flag, ridden by kids, and comfortable crossing water and uneven terrain. Despite being a stallion, he's described as unusually respectful around other horses and mares, easy to catch, good for the farrier and vet, and low-maintenance (can sit idle for months and go right back to work).
