Cherokee

Cherokee is a 5-year-old bay tobiano Draftcross gelding, 15.3 hands and about 1450 lbs, based in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. He's been through a natural horsemanship program (he'll lay down on command), has a notably quiet, laid-back disposition, and has been used as an all-around family and ranch horse: checking cows, riding fences, crossing creeks and rough terrain, navigating traffic and wildlife exposure, and even harness work pulling farm equipment. He's been ridden by beginners and kids of all ages, taken camping in several states, and also goes over fences under English tack. The seller, Adams Horse And Mule Co, describes him as a confidence-builder suited to riders of any experience level and can arrange nationwide transport. Asking price is $35,000.
