Slinging Iron (Steel)

Slinging Iron, called Steel, is a 2025 gray AQHA colt out of Admire, Kansas, bred for roping and halter with a strong cutting-bred pedigree: he's a grandson of Metallic Cat on his sire's side (out of Crazy Maga Cat) and a grandson of Play Per through his dam, RJE Playper Doc Lena. Picked up by the seller in late June, he's halter broke, leads, ties, loads and unloads, has been ponied and lightly lunged, and has had some desensitizing done. He stands for clipping and baths, keeps his feet well maintained even though he hasn't been trimmed yet, and has even been taught to lie down. Described as easy going, smart, and good with other horses, he's reportedly been sat on by the seller's 6-year-old, 50-pound son. He's not started under saddle yet; the seller notes the price will increase once saddle training begins this spring.

Not yet trimmed but keeps feet well maintained on his own; mane thinned from rubbing on fence but growing back. Stands for clipping and baths.
